Papantoniou, Athanassia
Ms Papantoniou, a graduate of the University
of Athens, heads litigation, an area in which she has developed
a strong and varied background over the years. Early in
her career, she focused on insurance litigation and gradually
moved on to a wider spectrum of corporate and commercial
contentious work. In addition to her litigation expertise,
which remains her core activity, Ms Papantoniou developed
a firm grounding on contractual and drafting matters over
the 2003-2004 period when she worked on a full time basis
for the Athens Olympic Broadcasting company (AOB), the radio
& TV services coordinator for the 2004 Athens Olympic
Games. Her recent publications include the Greece chapter
in the International Comparative Legal Guide to: Litigation
& Dispute Resolution 2008, the Greece chapter on dispute
resolution in PLC’s “Dispute Resolution Handbook
2008/09”, and the Greece chapter (with Ioanna Lazaridou-Elmaloglou)
on “International Execution against Judgment Debtors”
to be published by Oxford University Press in 2008. She
is fluent in English, German and Italian.
