Adamidis, Polykarpos

Dr Adamidis holds an LL.B and a Ph.D from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, and an LL.M from Harvard University. He is mostly involved in corporate and banking matters, an area in which he has displayed a keen research interest. His advisory work is varied and includes legal counseling to several regional organizations and municipalities, as well as a joint assignment with Dr Kelemenis on drafting secondary legislation and model licenses for the Energy Regulatory Commission in FYR Macedonia. His recent instructions include the liquidation of an insurance company and the merger of two investment funds. Since September 2004, Dr Adamidis has been legal counsel to the Greek Minister for Health. He is the author of several articles in refereed journals and edited volumes, and of the monograph "M&A in the Banking Sector under the application of EU Competition Law", which was published by the Athens-based Sakkoulas Publications in 2004.
